Cette phase est purement m\u00e9canique, mais les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s chimiques en aval sont tr\u00e8s efficaces pour atteindre la granulom\u00e9trie ad\u00e9quate \u2014 g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement comprise entre 75 et 150 microm\u00e8tres pour les circuits de lixiviation traditionnels. Un broyage excessif augmente les co\u00fbts \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et g\u00e9n\u00e8re un exc\u00e8s de fines, ce qui rend plus difficile la s\u00e9paration des phases solide et liquide en aval, tandis qu\u2019un broyage insuffisant maintient l\u2019or pi\u00e9g\u00e9 dans la roche intacte, r\u00e9duisant ainsi le rendement total. La dur\u00e9e de la lixiviation est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement comprise entre 24 et 48 heures, en fonction de la min\u00e9ralogie du minerai, de la teneur en or et du taux de consommation de cyanure. Un contr\u00f4le efficace du pH est crucial : un manque d\u2019alcali entra\u00eene la production de gaz HCN (cyanure d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne) toxique, tandis qu\u2019un exc\u00e8s de chaux augmente le co\u00fbt de l\u2019agent et peut rendre la surface du m\u00e9tal inactive. La concentration en cyanure, l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne dissous (OD) et la temp\u00e9rature constituent les principaux leviers permettant d\u2019optimiser la dynamique de dissolution de l\u2019or et Ces deux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s g\u00e9n\u00e8rent un \u00e9luat riche en or qui est achemin\u00e9 vers l\u2019\u00e9lectro-extraction pour la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration de l\u2019or.
