What Is Masterbatch TiO2?
Titanium dioxide for masterbatch is a high performance TiO₂ pigment specially designed for the production of white master and colour concentrates. Masterbatch is a kind of solid or fluid additive which is used to colour or give a function to a plastic in the course of manufacture – and titanium dioxide is the key function, which gives it the brightness, transparency and light scattering characteristics that determine the final appearance of the final plastic.
In the production of master batch, the TiO₂ is combined with the twin screw extruder to form a support resin — usually polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or polyester (PET). The resultant concentrate pellets are then allowed to be dropped into the base resin during the lower part of the plastic treatment, including the injection moulding, the blowing film extruding, the tube extruding, and the fibre spinning. Masterbatch-grade TiO₂ is designed using optimal surface treatment and fine granularity to assure a uniform and uniform distribution in the polymer support.
Key Advantages of Masterbatch TiO₂
-
Exceptional Whiteness and Opacity — TiO₂ provides the greatest brightness and concealment ability of any white pigment, which guarantees that the masterbatch concentrates will be able to produce a completely opaque, bright white plastic product even at a standard let-down rate – essential for wrapping a film, a vessel, a tube, and a consumer item.
-
Superior Dispersibility in Polymer Carriers — The purpose of a well designed surface treatment is to facilitate even distribution of the entire support resin in the course of mixing, to avoid agglomerating, to minimize the abrasion of the device, and to guarantee a uniform colour for each batch of master batch manufactured.
-
Precise and Reproducible Color Control — Uniform grain size distribution and high tinting intensity enable master batch manufacturers to obtain precise, reproducible colour formulas for both white and coloured colours, minimising batch to batch changes and decreasing the use of paints while not affecting the final product appearance.
-
Broad Polymer Compatibility — Masterbatch TiO₂ is compatible with a broad range of carrier and base resins, including PE, PP, PET, PVC, ABS, and engineering plastics, thus serving as a versatile pigment solution throughout the entire spectrum of plastic processing applications and industries.
-
Thermal Stability Under High-Temperature Processing —Engineered to withstand the demanding temperatures of twin-screw compounding and downstream melt processing, masterbatch TiO ₂ maintains its optical performance and chemical stability without causing polymer degradation, discoloration, or processing.

Our Masterbatch TiO2 Advantages
Exceptional Whiteness and Opacity Performance
Boasting the highest refractive index among white pigments, masterbatch TiO₂ provides outstanding hiding power and brightness at standard let-down ratios — ensuring fully opaque, visually consistent white plastic products in packaging films, injection-molded parts, pipes, and fiber applications.
Superior Dispersibility for Consistent Compounding
Well designed surface treatments allow for fast, uniform distribution across the entire support resin in twin screw extruder to minimise aggregation, decrease device wear, and assure batch to lot colour uniformity - providing a master batch manufacturer with a stable handling capability and a shorter dosage adjustment time.
Broad Compatibility and Thermal Stability
Designed for use in PE, PP, PET, PVC, and engineering plastics, the master batch titanium dioxide keeps the optics and chemistry stable at high temperature - avoiding the color and deterioration of the polymer and achieving consistent results in a wide range of resin systems and downstream treatment applications.
